Jajpur Judgeship started functioning with effect from 28th June, 2012 after being separated from the erstwhile composite Judgeship of Cuttack, Jagatsingpur, Jajpur and Kendrapara. 27 different Courts are functioning in the Judgeship with outlying stations at Jajpur Road, Sukinda and Chandikhol. Since 2012, the Court of the District and Sessions Judge is functioning in a single storied old Town Hall, Jajpur having 6 rooms. The said building with an approximate plinth area of 2400 sq.ft. was constructed in 1933. The 12 other Courts of Jajpur are functioning in scattered buildings in the Civil Court Complex. Construction work for three numbers of non-residential projects and six numbers of residential projects at headquarters station Jajpur, three numbers of non-residential projects and five numbers of residential projects at Jajpur Road are going on.

540 witnesses were examined in the Vulnerable Witness Deposition Centre and 152 witnesses were examined through Video Conferencing in 2024. 92 cases were heard by the High Court through video conferencing facility at the Virtual Centre of the High Court at Jajpur in 2024.
